TOUR 1: Short Kalahari-Safari

This 5 day camping safari is perfectly for those people, they like visit the Kalahari, but there time is limited.
Because the “Kgalagadi National park” is becoming so popular in the past few years, we can not guarantee that we will find space on a specific campground. Therefore we spend the first two nights in the southern part of the park at the campsites at Two Rivers or Rooiputs (both sites on the Botswana part of the National park. Day 3 and 4 we stay at the camps Nossob or Mata Mata (both sites on the South African site of the National park.) It depends on availability!

Day 1: Leaving Upington we travel to Twee Rivieren where we enter the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park. What will we discover on our first safari drive in the famous “Kgalagadi Trans frontier National park”?
Overnight stay: Camping at Two Rivers or Rooiputs campsites
Meals: Dinner

Day 2: We spend another day in South Africa's second biggest National Park where you will find game such as Oryx, springbok, blue wildebeest and red hartebeest, which are seen very often. The Park is well-known for good sightings of the famous black-manned Kalahari lions and cheetahs and is a bird watcher’s paradise with more than 20 larger raptor species.
Overnight stay: Camping at Two Rivers or Rooiputs campsites (both camps are on the Botswana side)
Meals: full board

Day 3: Our safari drive today leads us into the northern section of the park, to “Nossob OR Mata Mata camp. (Depending of availability). What will we discover today? Maybe black manned Kalahari Lions! Both Camps are on the South African side of the park, and are fully equipped. These camps are FENCED IN, which gives you the opportunity to move around freely inside the camps. Both Camps have a swimming pool for visitors as well, and also provide night game drives with spotlight, organized by the Park authority, during which you can discover the more night active species at R180.00 per person, optional.  Bookings for these activities can be done during your visit to these camps.

Meals: full board

Day 4: What may we observe today? Maybe meercats, a true symbol of the Kalahari Desert.
Break in the afternoon. Enjoy a swim in the cool swimming pool. We go on a game drive in the evening. OR alternatively you can book you in by the park authority for a night game drive
Enjoy supper around the fire under the magnificent African stars and listen to what's going on in nature around us.

Meals: full board

Day 5: Our safari drive takes us back to Twee Rivieren where we leave the Park early afternoon.  What will we discover today? Maybe we’ll be fortunate enough to find a cheetah hunting his prey? How ever, everything that growls are welcome!
Afterwards we drive we drive back to Upington. Transfer to the Guesthouse of your choice. We recommend you to overnight at “Island View”, “La fugue Guesthouse” or “Tshahitsi Lodge”. For more information of these recommended places, please click “Links” on our homepage.
