Tour Program

Day 1: PLEASE NOTE, If you could arrive in Upington until 13:00 LATEST we could start with the tour immediately on the same day, without overnight firstly in Upington!
We leave Upington, fully equipped to Twee Rivieren, the entrance to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park.  We undertake our first safari drive inside the Park.

Day 2: We spend another day in South Africa's second biggest National Park, where you will find game such as, oryx, springbok, blue wildebeest and red hartebeest, which are seen very often. The park is well known for good sightings of the famous black maned Kalahari lions and cheetahs, and is a bird watcher's paradise with more than 20 larger raptor species.

Day 3: Last safari drive up to Mata Mata on the Namibian border. What will we discover today? Maybe a Cheetah? And only here in this area the park authority has resettle Giraffes. With a bit of luck we discover some of these elegant animals. After lunch we cross the border to Namibia and we continuing to drive to Mariental.

Day 4: Today we drive via Maltahöhe to the edge of the oldest desert on earth, the Namib desert. Enjoy a refreshing bath in the pool.
Overnight stay:         Chalet at Desert Camp (OR similar Camp)
Meals:             Dinner ONLY

Day 5: The early bird catches the worm. We leave the lodge before sunset to reach the highest dunes at Sossusvlei as early as possible. You are more than welcome to climb to the top of the dunes from where you will have a spectacular view over the 'sand ocean' of the Namib Desert. Driving back to Sesriem and paying a visit to the gorge of Sesriem Canyon, before we drive to Duwisib Castle.

Meals:             Breakfast and Dinner

Day 6: After breakfast we visit the Castle which was built nearly 100 years ago by a German aristocrat for breeding horses in this area. Driving further south until we reach the small village of Aus on the edge of the Namib Desert. On the way to Lüderitz on the Atlantic coast, we'll visit the 'Namib wild horses' which are reminiscent from colonial times.

Day 7: We stay on the Atlantic coast at the small town of Lüderitz is nestled in a natural bay. At Kolmanskop, we shall visit the ghost town of diamonds and then go on different 4x4 drives around Lüderitz Bay.

Meals:             Breakfast ONLY

Day 8: Today we drive via Goagab to the last highlight of this tour, the Fish River Canyon. In the evening we have a drink near the edge of the world's second largest gorge and enjoy the sunset.

Day 9: Today we drive back to South Africa via Karasburg and  "Onseepkans" (border post) and after we cross the Orange River we drive to the Augrabies Falls, which is the sixth largest waterfall in the world when South Africa's largest river, the Orange River, is in flood.

Day 10: Sightseeing and a game drive to awesome viewpoints like Ararat and Oranjekom on the Orange River Gorge, adds to the adventure. Giraffe, springbok, eland and klipspringer can be seen, while fish eagles and black eagles are common residents. At the afternoon we driving back to Upington where we arrive late afternoon. Transfer to " Tsahitsi Lodge" for your last overnight.

Day 11: After breakfast (Included), short transfer to the Airport for your flight.
